Goju Kai Karate is suitable for women and men of all ages because at its core it is based on the Yin and Yang principles of the hard, or ‘Go’, and soft, ‘ju’. This combination of hard and soft allows both men and women of all ages to enjoy and excel in this art because it develops timing, speed, technique, and control over physical strength and aggression.

The style of Goju Kai is quite exacting and requires a balance between these hard and soft qualities. This balance gives students the ability to vary

techniques in a quick flowing manner in order, resulting in the execution of a kick or punch with the force of a thunderbolt. Also, the training methods of Goju Kai are not based upon muscular strength alone. A great deal of emphasis is placed upon special breathing techniques, which can be perfected by the student with regular training and commitment.

Training can also be focused at your own personal pace in order to comfortably set and attain personal goals.
