This gives students an opportunity, if they so wish, to test their skills against other students from Queensland, interstate and internationally.

Local Brisbane tournaments are held at the Boondall Entertainment Centre. Nationally, an annual tournament is hosted in Coffs Harbour.

At a tournament students can compete in one or all of the following:

Kumite (controlled free sparring)

Kata (pre arranged movements of attack and defence)

Renzoku (set karate movements)

Kobudo (weaponry forms) Tournaments are not compulsory; students can compete only if they wish to do so.
